Accessibility
RiderBase wants riding knowledge to be open to everyone, and that includes making our website as easy to use as possible — whatever your abilities or the technology you use.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA as our standard. We build RiderBase to be clear, readable, and navigable, with a simple, uncluttered layout.
What we do
Steps we take to keep the site accessible include:
- using clear, plain English and a clean, consistent layout;
- making sure text and background colours have good contrast;
- writing descriptive text for images where they carry meaning;
- making sure the site works on phones, tablets, and desktops;
- using proper headings and structure so screen readers can follow the content.
Known limitations
RiderBase is built and maintained by a sole developer, whom is actively improving it all the time. Some areas may not yet be fully accessible, for example, certain third-party embeds (such as videos or social content) or older content. We’re working to address these, and we’d genuinely welcome your help in spotting anything that’s hard to use.
Your rights
Under the Equality Act 2010, we aim to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled users aren’t put at a disadvantage. If you need information from RiderBase in a different format (such as larger text or a different file type), please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
Tell us about a problem
If you come across something on RiderBase that’s difficult to access or use, please let us know. Tell us what page you were on and what went wrong, and we’ll look into it.

Reviewing this statement
We review our approach to accessibility regularly and will update this statement as the site develops.
